ucas Barnes is an industrial designer and artist who has thrived where environmental sustainability meets creative entrepreneurship.

Before joining CMU’s School of Design in 2022, he founded an eco-friendly clothing brand and won a microgrant to design a handcrafted wallet made of cactus skin, instilling an entrepreneurial fervor leading him to explore different facets of design through roles with social and environmental-focused startup ventures including the Climate Action Museum, AWROA, Tweel’s Wheels, and Badi Shoes.

His interest in sustainable urbanism and circular economy principles complement his attention to detail and quality craft, contributing to highly considered designs.
